Advising Schedule with Professor Ellen Pearlstein

October 10, 2018: We went over introductions, and spoke about MLIS coursework and requirements.

December 5, 2018: We discussed potential Winter Quarter coursework.

February 5, 2019: Over email, we went over courses that align with the Media Archiving track.

May 20, 2019: We spoke about portfolio requirements, and future coursework. We also spoke about a California Rare Books class that could be informative.

September 10 — October 10, 2019: Over email, Professor Pearlstein and I went over Fall Quarter courses, and took an independent study that would allow me to dive further into audio visual materials.

October 5, 2019: We spoke about issue paper ideas and my portfolio.

November 27, 2019: Professor Pearlstein and I went over future coursework requirements and portfolio options.

March 20 — July 19, 2020: We reviewed and edited my issue paper over email.

August 28, 2020: We discussed how my professional development could align with coursework via an Independent Study.

September 30 — October 7, 2020: Professor Pearlstein reviewed my digital portfolio and provided feedback.
