I was working in…

media production and audiovisual events when I realized that I was more interested in the preservation and accessibility of video, film, and audio materials than the creation of these materials. Deciding to pursue this interest, I enrolled in UCLA’s library school to focus on media archiving and librarianship. There, I discovered the importance of access to and the sharing of stories, especially those of historically silenced populations. Multimedia is an accessible and immersive way to experience and share access to places, people, and events.
